12 more organizations have joined the 7 agro-industrial associations of the Vitebsk region

The consolidation of agricultural producers in the Vitebsk region continues. Almost 2.5 months after the establishment of 7 agro-industrial associations, 12 more organizations from 8 districts have joined them, increasing the total number by nearly 9%. Consequently, the raw material zones of the integration structures have expanded.

According to the decision of the regional executive committee, published on the official website, quantitative changes have occurred in five associations. The integration structure based at the Glubokoye Dairy and Canning Plant has expanded the most. Its members now include the joint-stock companies "AGROVIDZY", which once dominated livestock and fodder production in the Braslav district, "Dovatorsky" and "Zhviranka" from the Sharkovshchina district, which increased their revenue by 26% and almost 6% respectively in 2019, as well as OJSC "Chernevichi" from Glubokoye. The agro-industrial association of the Polotsk Dairy Plant has expanded to include the joint-stock companies "Ilyushinsky" (Ushachi district), Glubokoye's "Knyazh", and Miory's "Nikolayevsky".

The agro-association based at the Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant will now include the Sennoye farms "Litusovo" and "Sinegorskoye". The raw material zone of the Orsha Meat Canning Plant has expanded due to the inclusion of Tolochin organizations "Slavnoye" and "Pedigree Plant 'Reconstructor'". OJSC "Kamaysky-AGRO" has joined the participants of the agroholding of the Postavy Dairy Plant. Furthermore, by the same decision, OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom" and OJSC "Malkovo" from the Liozno district have been excluded from the integration structures. Thus, a total of 144 organizations are now interacting within the 7 agro-industrial associations.

According to the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Committee for Agriculture and Food, the current newcomers were also planned to be included in agroholdings, however, the organizations failed to resolve the necessary procedural issues by March 1, 2020. This concerns the fulfillment of the conditions stipulated in clause 1.1 of the Decree of the President of Belarus No. 70 of February 25, 2020 "On the Development of the Vitebsk Region's Agro-Industrial Complex". According to the document, an agreement on agro-industrial association can be concluded, in particular, by organizations with a communal share in charter capital of at least 50%. Most of the newcomers lacked a few percentage points for this (according to data as of early 2020). By the time the Regional Executive Committee made its decision, this condition had been met.
