At Secondary School No. 1 in Lepel, a solemn ceremony was held for bidding farewell to the pioneer tie and joining the ranks of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union".

The organisation's ranks have been joined by 18 determined, active, and talented young people. This is an exciting moment for the boys and girls, as new opportunities and boundless horizons await them.

The ceremony of farewell to the pioneer tie is a new form of interaction between the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organisation and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, with an emphasis on continuity.

"This ceremony has great educational potential, supports the image of the BRPO and the BRSM, and strengthens a careful attitude towards the best traditions of children's and youth organisations," said the school principal, Oksana Kharlenok, addressing the young people.

With words of encouragement and congratulations, the young people were addressed by Elena Serebro, Chief Specialist of the Ideological Work and Youth Affairs Department of the District Executive Committee, as well as Ekaterina Baranovskaia, First Secretary of the District Committee of the BRSM Public Association.
