In 2018, the construction sector of the district commissioned over 10 thousand square meters of housing, including approximately 8 thousand square meters built by individual developers. A multi-apartment residential building at 17 Shkolnaya Street in Lepel, with a total area of 2122 square meters, was commissioned. The percentage of the housing commissioning target set by the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee achieved is 106%.
The commissioning of a multi-apartment energy-efficient residential building of class B, based on the specific heat consumption for heating and ventilation, at 17 Shkolnaya Street, has provided housing for 16 large families and fulfilled the target for the construction of housing for citizens registered as needing improved housing conditions and undertaking construction with state support.
To facilitate international cooperation with the People's Republic of China within the framework of the second stage of the "Social Housing Construction" Project, the construction of a "40-apartment residential building at Kalinin Street in Lepel" has commenced, with a total area of 2701.15 square meters. The construction period is 9.5 months. Capacity, number of apartments: one-room - 5, two-room - 30, three-room - 5. The apartments will be allocated to large families, orphans, and disabled individuals. Currently, 287 individuals from the aforementioned categories are on the waiting list for improved housing conditions to receive social housing, including: large families – 85, of which 5 have 4 or more children; orphans – 195; disabled individuals – 7.
In 2018, it is planned to commence the construction of three multi-apartment energy-efficient residential buildings of class B, based on the specific heat consumption for heating and ventilation, at Sovetskaya Street in Lepel.
In addition to housing construction projects, it is planned to complete the construction of a retail facility by OOO "EUROTOGR" in Lepel at Chuykova Street. The new retail facility, with a total area of 1170 square meters and a sales floor area of 662 square meters, is expected to open its doors in September-October 2018.
Furthermore, a grocery store with an area of approximately 400 square meters, including a sales area of over 200 square meters, will appear at the intersection of Maksim Gorky and Voykova streets in Lepel. A relevant investment agreement is being prepared for signing. OOO "Santa Retail" is acting as the investor. Representatives of the retail chain position the future store

as a retail outlet with a universal range of high-quality food products at affordable prices.
In 2018, it is planned to complete the construction of the facility "Center for Labor and Social and Domestic Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons in Lepel, Lobanka St., 30".
In addition, OJSC "Gazprom transgaz Belarus" is considering the issue of constructing the facility "Construction of a gas filling compressor station" at the address M-3 Minsk-Vitebsk highway, 155 km (right).
