During their presentations, rescuers reminded attendees of the basic fire safety rules. The discussion covered the proper operation of gas installations, electrical equipment, and stoves. Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also reminded attendees not to leave young children unattended. They recommended equipping homes with autonomous fire alarms. And, of course, they reiterated safety rules in the workplace.
Rescuers also addressed the issue of careless handling of fire by citizens, including during smoking. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees reminded attendees of the consequences of the "cigarette + alcohol" combination, explained how to prevent fire hazards while smoking, and emphasised that the neglect of elementary safety rules while smoking has already resulted in 2 fatalities in the district.
Ministry of Emergency Situations representatives stressed that if you or your relatives cannot completely quit a harmful habit, it should be avoided at home. If your neighbour is fond of not only smoking but also abusing alcohol, raise the alarm. You have a time bomb next to you. Typically, the "Drank. Smoked. Fell Asleep" scenario plays out, and statistics confirm this.
