A thematic meeting "Family: You Can Never Have Too Much Happiness!" was held at the central district library of Lepel.

The meeting was attended by students of the Lepel College and invited guests: the dean of the Lepel district, Archpriest Sergiy Leshkevich, the head of the registry office of the Lepel District Executive Committee, Elena Belskaya, the general practitioner of the Central Regional Hospital, Elizaveta Skovorodko, and the master of the emergency dispatch service of the Lepel district gas supply, Andrey Azarenko.

Research shows that good children grow up in happy families where the father and mother love each other. The famous educator Anton Makarenko wrote: "Do you want to have good children? Be happy. Tear yourself apart, use all your talents, abilities, involve your acquaintances, but be happy with real, human happiness."
Archpriest Sergiy Leshkevich told those present how important it is to cherish and protect one's family, as it is created to go through many life lessons together. And a happy family is when the parents are happy. It has long been known that when a child sees that their parents love and protect each other, they feel calm and happy. The Archpriest reminded that true love is sacrifice, it is the ability to overcome any of one's ambitions, selfishness, pride for the sake of a loved one and their happiness, it is the readiness to sacrifice personal interests and even life.
What is a family, and when is it formed?
Can we consider the moment of registration as such a starting point? And is it always from the moment of registration, not "I" and "you," but "we"? Elena Belskaya answered these questions. She also shared interesting information about how many marriages are registered by the registry office and the average age of first-time newlyweds. It was noted that the birth rate in our district, unfortunately, is declining. For the first three quarters of this year, only about 200 children were born. At the same time, it was a great surprise that the highest birth rate in our district was in 1949 – around 1400 newborns.
General practitioner Elizaveta Skovorodko spoke about what needs to be known for families and children to be healthy, born and raised in love and peace. She shared with the event participants the rules of a healthy lifestyle and how to protect themselves from diseases.
