The republican campaign "Focus on Children!" has started in Lepel district. The attention of rescuers was focused on visitors to the "Univermag" store, where a large number of children and adults preparing for the new academic year can be found.
To remind everyone of the basic safety rules once again, employees of the district department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations prepared engaging tasks for both adults and children.
Parents could test their knowledge by answering questions in a thematic quiz, while children were offered to pass an exam on safety rules in a playful manner, consisting of theoretical and practical parts. For successfully completed stages, each participant received a "Certificate of Graduation from the Academy of Young Rescuers" and useful visual materials from the Ministry of Emergency Situations staff.
During preventive discussions, representatives of the rescue department informed parents about the new information campaign "Be with Your Child!" and urged adults not to leave children unattended, as well as to teach them safe behaviour from an early age.
– Teach children what to do in case of a fire and explain how to call rescuers by phone correctly. Watch the Ministry of Emergency Situations cartoons "The Magic Book" and "Special Unit 112" with your child and discuss dangerous situations in detail using the characters as examples. Do not forget that the behaviour of mom and dad is the best role model, – reminded the inspectors of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Rescuers wished parents and children a safe end to the summer holidays and a great start to the new academic year!
