From 21 to 30 June, a fan zone for the II European Games will be organised in Vitebsk on Victory Square, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Department of Sports and Tourism of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Organisers will strive to create a festive atmosphere. All the most significant events will be available to watch on two large screens. In addition to watching the sporting contests, leisure activities will include games, competitions, and intellectual quizzes. A concert programme featuring performances by creative groups is also planned for spectators.
On the closing day of the Games, 30 June, the Vitebsk fan zone will host a cycling event, demonstration performances by fitness clubs, and in the evening, a gala concert of the open youth choreography festival.
Vitebsk region will be represented by 21 athletes at the II European Games in Minsk. All of them have performed successfully in international competitions. The largest contingent from the northern region of Belarus will be in the trampoline gymnastics and athletics teams (4 athletes each), as well as karate (3 athletes).
The II European Games will be held in Minsk from 21 to 30 June. More than 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete for 200 sets of medals in 15 sports.
