The Russian vaccine "Sputnik V" arrived in Vitebsk yesterday, and the first healthcare workers at the Vitebsk City Central Polyclinic, who have high risks of contracting coronavirus infection, have already been vaccinated.

Today, the staff of the Vitebsk Regional Oncology Dispensary are undergoing vaccination here. Daily, 60 people are planned to be vaccinated at the vaccination point organised at the main polyclinic. Additional vaccination points will start operating in three more branches of the central polyclinic, as well as in Orsha, Polotsk, and Novopolotsk.

A total of 3,260 healthcare system representatives in the Vitebsk region are planned to be vaccinated. Subsequently, employees in the education sector, staff of institutions with round-the-clock accommodation for children and adults, and representatives of other professions who come into contact with a large number of people will be able to insure themselves against COVID-19 in this way.
