Approximately 70 of the country's top machine builders were recognised with awards at a gala event held at the Vitebsk Concert Hall to mark their professional holiday.

Maksim Ryzhenkov, First Deputy Head of the Belarus President's Administration, read out a congratulatory address from Alexander Lukashenko, which included the following words: "We proudly honour all employees and veterans of the industry for your labour, thanks to which Belarusians can use modern domestic transport, computer, television, and household appliances.

Today, the machine-building complex is a key sector of the economy, concentrating the main technological and intellectual competencies for solving strategic tasks – preserving the sovereignty of our state and improving people's living standards. I am convinced that you will continue to perform your work responsibly and professionally, increase the output of science-intensive and competitive products, and strengthen the positions of Belarusian manufacturers in foreign markets."

As a gift from the country's machine-building complex, Petr Parkhomchik, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, presented the hospitable Vitebsk region with a certificate for a GS12A1 PRO grain harvester, which was accepted by Anzhelika Nikitina, Deputy Chairperson of the Regional Executive Committee.
