Over 200 organisations from the Vitebsk region participated in the review-competition for the best organisation of occupational safety and health work in 2022.
This review-competition has been held in the region since 2008. Its conditions are quite stringent. Thus, based on the results of work in 2022 on occupational safety and health among enterprises and organisations in the production and non-production spheres of activity, only 72 organisations, which had no accidents in their teams during the past year, reached the second stage by decisions of city and district executive committees. And only a few were among the winners.
A solemn award ceremony for the heads of such teams took place at the regional executive committee. It was attended by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, and his Deputy, Vyacheslav Durnov, the Chairman of the Committee for Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Regional Executive Committee, Boris Efremov, the Chairman of the Regional Trade Union Association, Yuri Derkach, the Chairman of the Regional Employers' Union, Vladimir Turavinov, and the heads of the region's control and supervisory bodies.
Winners of the regional review competition for the best occupational safety organisation were awarded in Vitebsk
– The performance of any enterprise is evaluated not only by economic indicators, successes in modernization, development, construction, implementation of specific programs and plans, but, of course, also by how workplace safety is ensured, and how a healthy lifestyle of workers is cultivated, – noted Alexander Subbotin, welcoming the attendees. – Moreover, it is precisely the safety of workers' lives that is at the core of the activities of every manager of a small or large enterprise. Today, the best are here, and thank you very much for ensuring safe working conditions for your teams!
Alexander Subbotin presented diplomas "Exemplary Organization of the Vitebsk Region for Labor Protection in 2022" to the heads of four enterprises. The winner in the nomination "Non-production Sphere Organization" was the branch "Vitebskgruzservis" of UP "Vitebsk Branch of Belarusian Railway"; in the nomination "Production Sphere Organization with up to 100 employees" the state enterprise "Center for Disposal of Aviation Weapons" was awarded; in the nomination "Production Sphere Organization with 101 to 500 employees" – the branch "Polotskvodokanal" of UP "Vitebskoblvodaokanal"; in the nomination "Production Sphere Organization with over 500 employees" – UP "Vitebskoblgaz".
For a significant contribution to the implementation of the main directions of state policy in the field of labor protection, preserving the health of employees and organizing safe work in 2022, as well as for a high level of labor protection culture, attention to safety issues, prevention of occupational diseases and injuries in the workplace, a number of heads of institutions, organizations, companies and enterprises were awarded letters of gratitude from the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
