The award ceremony for enterprises with exemplary occupational safety and health management was held by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Aleksandr Subbotin.
The annual review competition for the best organisation of work on occupational safety and health among enterprises and organisations in the production and non-production sectors was held for the 16th time. More than 100 enterprises in the northern region, which had no industrial accidents in 2023, competed for the right to be called the best in the first stage of the competition, conducted by city and district executive committees. 27 organisations advanced to the regional stage, 13 of which were identified as leaders in creating proper working conditions for employees and enhancing the prestige of work culture.
They were welcomed by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Aleksandr Subbotin.
“Production thrives not only on plans and programmes. An important element of it is safety, care for the team,” noted the head of the region. “The competition provides an opportunity to reward the best for their contribution to the social development of enterprises and the economy as a whole, for preserving the most valuable assets – people's health and lives.”
The Grand Prix of the regional review competition for the best organisation of work on occupational safety and health was won by the Polotskvodokanal branch of the Vitebskobvodokanal unitary enterprise.
In the "Non-production sector organisations" nomination, the Vitebsk branch of RUPPS "Belpochta" took first place; in the "Production sector organisations with up to 100 employees" nomination – RUP for transportation and supply of liquefied petroleum gases "SG-TRANS"; in the "Production sector organisations with 101 to 500 employees" nomination – the MasolovoGaz Agricultural Production branch of PRUP "Vitebskoblgaz"; in the "Production sector organisations with over 500 employees" nomination – the Orsha Main Gas Pipelines branch of OAO "Gazprom Transgaz Belarus".
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee also presented letters of gratitude for a significant contribution to the implementation of the main directions of state policy in the field of occupational safety and health, preserving the health of employees, and organising safe work.
