The "Where Does the Motherland Begin?" border youth festival will be held in Vitebsk from October 18-21, BELTA was informed by Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov.
The festival venues will host the "If They Say the Word 'Motherland'" media projects competition, the Russian-Belarusian meeting of young teachers, the "Interregional Cooperation" youth projects competition, and the "I Create Good" project. The festival will bring together young people from all over the Vitebsk region and various cities in Russia (Bryansk, Ulan-Ude (Buryatia), Tomsk, Omsk, Engels, Yaroslavl, Volgograd, and Smolensk).
The festival programme includes cultural and entertainment events, excursions for guests, educational seminars and training sessions, round tables and discussion platforms, lectures and master classes from Belarusian and Russian specialists in various fields. Among the festival experts are businessmen, journalists, educators, government representatives, directors, and scientists. Forum participants will discuss the prospects for interaction between the youth of the regions of Belarus and Russia, modern teaching methods and educational trends, the specifics of regional media work, and other issues.
The festival is organised by the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Belarus, the Smolensk public organisation of the Russian Youth Union, and Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov.
