The project is being implemented by the Swedish Academy of Arts in Stockholm and Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov.
Professors Ulla Lind and Anetta Getlund, as well as visual culture master artist Irina Hauska, will give open lectures in Vitebsk from October 9-11. They will be held at Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. The lecturers will conduct workshops (practical sessions) and discussions on gender issues in visual culture in a dynamic format, present their research on the topic, and discuss how Swedish students perceive the issues raised. Students from the Art and Graphics Faculty of Vitebsk State University and students from Vitebsk State Technological University will participate in the events.
"Sweden and Belarus are geographically close to each other, but unfortunately, we lack cooperation in many areas of artistic practice. This project attempts to rectify this through communication with young creative individuals, future art and culture educators," noted Irina Hauska.
In accordance with the project, it is planned to organise a presentation by lecturers from the Art and Graphics Faculty of Vitebsk State University for Swedish creative youth in the future.
