The discussion began with a relevant question: "What does the Constitution mean to you?" It is law, justice, and the state – this is how young men and women of the region defined this term in a preliminary survey.

— The ideology of the Belarusian people is embedded in the Constitution, as stated by the President of the country, Alexander Lukashenko, during the solemn ceremony of signing the Decision of the Republican Referendum. And this is indeed true, — noted Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee.

— This is a great human endeavor, thanks to which we will build the strategic development of our country, — replied Vladimir Babichev, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM.

— The Constitution is a contract between the people and the state, — said Viktor Glushin, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee. — Each of us had the opportunity to express our opinion. There were many proposals. They will certainly be reflected in the country's legislative acts.

— This is our tomorrow, — briefly answered Vladimir Beleevich, Chairman of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies.

Within the framework of the meeting, a dialogue was also held on the importance of historical memory, and diverse definitions of patriotism were given.

— We need not only to remember our ancestors but also to be proud of them. This must be passed on to our children, and then to our grandchildren. This is how we will weave the necklace of our history. Historical memory is the genetic code that will encompass us, — emphasized Marina Novitskaya.
