Commenting on this stage of the election campaign at the request of journalists, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, noted that a total of 749 applications were submitted. "Public associations and political parties showed the greatest activity - more than 60% of the total number of applications. Applications from work collectives account for 9.9%. 29.5% of applications were submitted through the collection of citizens' signatures," he noted.
Vladimir Terentyev emphasized that when approving the list of members of the district electoral commissions, the Presidium of the Regional Council and the Regional Executive Committee sought to take into account the interests of all public associations and political parties that have declared their intention to actively participate in the election campaign as much as possible.
