The Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, visited the Pervomaisky Department of the Vitebsk Security Service.Vladimir Vladimirovich arrived with an important mission: to discuss the draft amendments and additions to the Constitution with the staff of the Regional Security Department and the Pervomaisky Department. About 150 people, including both attested employees and civilian personnel, gathered in the hall. Vladimir Terentyev expressed his conviction that law enforcement officers would be among the first to participate in the referendum, as the updated document contains numerous provisions that will improve the lives of both themselves and their children and grandchildren. Vladimir Vladimirovich noted that the discussion concerns not a new document, but an enhancement of the existing one. This is a normal process, as similar changes are also occurring in other post-Soviet countries. For three decades, we have been building a strong and prosperous new country, and it is time to consolidate the positive traditions established during this period at the legislative level.
The amended law will outline not only the rights of our citizens but also their responsibilities. Nevertheless, articles with a social focus, concerning the rights of disabled individuals, the elderly, and families with children, have been strengthened.
The pandemic, which has introduced complexities into our daily lives, has led to the inclusion of a citizen's obligation to take measures to preserve and strengthen their health in the draft of the fundamental law.
Vladimir Terentyev expressed his hope that the information shared at the meeting would be discussed within families, including with children. This, he believes, will contribute to fostering patriotism among our youth, as it is the young generation that will be responsible for preserving the country's sovereignty in the future. The Head of the Regional Security Department, Sergey Murashkin, noted that their teams are actively engaged in the events taking place in the country. He expressed satisfaction that the constitutional amendments address articles pertaining to the rights of security personnel. The hour and a half of discussion passed in an instant, such was the attention with which the audience listened to the speaker. At the conclusion of the event, Sergey Murashkin presented Vladimir Terentyev with a letter of appreciation for fruitful cooperation.
