Today, the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) at the Vitebsk State Medical University will train volunteers for the "Kind Heart" movement to assist voters with limited mobility at polling stations during early voting and on election day, the regional BRSM committee informed BelTA.
The university will host a training session on providing necessary assistance to wheelchair users, visually impaired individuals, people with hearing impairments, and citizens with limited mobility. The training for over 50 volunteers from each district center of the Vitebsk region will be conducted by participants of the social project "All inclusive," representatives of the Belarusian Association of Disabled Persons, and the Belarusian Society of the Visually Impaired.
During the training, volunteers will be instructed on how to safely and correctly accompany individuals using wheelchairs and those with visual impairments, and will be reminded of the basics of first aid.
