31 August, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incitement to suicide of a conscript serviceman in Vitebsk, Inna Gorbacheva, the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk region, informed a BELTA correspondent. On 27 August, the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk region initiated a criminal case based on the elements of a crime provided for by Part 1 of Article 145 of the Criminal Code of Belarus ("Incitement to suicide or attempted suicide by cruel treatment of the victim or systematic humiliation of their personal dignity"), concerning the incitement to suicide of a conscript serviceman born in 1990 from one of the military units in Vitebsk. An investigative task force was dispatched to the scene. A forensic medical examination has been appointed, and witness testimonies have been obtained. An investigation is underway.-0-
