The first regional forum of agrarian-focused classes "Youth is the Future!" will be held in Vitebsk on May 19 and 20, BELTA was informed by the regional executive committee.
The two-day forum at the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine will bring together students of agro-classes, their teachers, heads of district agricultural departments and agro-industrial associations. The first day will feature a career exhibition, interactive sessions, a case study for teachers to share experiences, and a cultural and entertainment program.
On the second day, students will go on excursions to agricultural enterprises. They will learn about the operations of the Vitebsk Engine Repair Plant, OJSC "Moloko", the Vitebsk Zonal Institute of Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, UP "Rudakovo", the "Yanovichi" agro-complex of the Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm, and the "MazolovoGaz" agricultural enterprise. Schoolchildren will also participate in a thematic dialogue platform.
Agrarian-focused specialized classes have been operating in schools of the Vitebsk region since September 1, 2018. They are attended by students in grades 10-11. In the current academic year, there are 88 such classes, with 666 students from 19 districts receiving education.
