This year, Hlybokaye will host the regional festival of agricultural workers "Dazhynki-2022". It will take place on September 17, on the Day of National Unity. In Vitebsk, heads of all regional services and departments discussed the preparation of the large-scale regional event.
– This is the first time we are combining the regional "Dazhynki" with the Day of National Unity. And it should be a real celebration that will be remembered for a long time by the residents of Hlybokaye district, the neighbouring districts, and those who will come here on this day, including guests from neighbouring Lithuania and Latvia, – noted Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies.
A concert by Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus Irina Dorofeeva, the play "Paulyinka" by the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theatre, and performances by other creative groups are planned at all venues in the district centre.
Meanwhile, as befits the host, the town is being spruced up to receive guests. Kilometres of asphalt pavement have been laid, pavements have been made, and the finishing touches are being completed on all construction sites. However, after "Dazhynki", the work on improving the town and bringing the social sphere into order will not stop, neither in 2022 nor in the following years. In particular, the renovation of the district hospital and yard areas will continue.
The only change that will affect the regional "Dazhynki" is that Vitebsk region will sum up the results of the agricultural year not in Hlybokaye, but in Vitebsk – on the eve of the Day of Agricultural Workers.
– Firstly, we have a diversified agriculture, and the regional leadership has decided to hold the final awards ceremony for the general holiday of agrarians. Secondly, in recent years, it has been very cold during the regional "Dazhynki". And we would like people to receive their deserved awards and watch the concert in a comfortable warm hall, rather than in the biting cold, as it was. In the meantime, from September 17 to the 3rd Saturday of November, each district will hold its own "Dazhynki" to honour the frontrunners. The best of the best will receive state, government, and regional awards in Vitebsk, – noted Vladimir Vladimirovich.
