By the end of the year, 12 projects under the "One District - One Project" initiative will be completed in the Vitebsk region. This was announced to journalists before a meeting reviewing the socio-economic development results of the region since the beginning of 2024 by Veronika Zabolueva, Chairperson of the Economy Committee of the Regional Executive Committee.

"The Vitebsk region has ensured the fulfillment of the main socio-economic development indicators," she noted. "Growth has been achieved in industry, agriculture, construction, trade, and foreign economic activity. Key indicators such as gross regional product, investment in fixed assets, wages, and budget revenue have been met. In the industrial complex, the volume of product output amounted to over Br6 billion, an increase of 18% in current prices compared to last year. Positive dynamics were observed in 9 out of 13 sectors."

Investments totaling over Br700 million have been attracted to the northern region, representing an increase of almost 17% compared to January-March 2023. "Within the current year, under the 'One Project - One Region' initiative, 12 projects will be completed in 10 districts. These include the production of garment products in Dokshytsy, perfumery products in the Dokshytsy district, and juice production in the Sharkovshchyna district," Veronika Zabolueva stated.

Furthermore, according to her, the modernization of the Obol Ceramic Plant in the Shumilino district will be completed by the end of the year, and a new line of whole milk products will be organized at the Postavy Dairy Plant.
