Since the start of the cycling season, accidents involving mechanical vehicles colliding with cyclists while crossing roadways have been recorded throughout the republic.
According to the Traffic Regulations, cycling is permitted from the age of 14 on a cycle path, and in its absence, on the verge, pavement, or pedestrian path, without obstructing the safe movement of pedestrians.
Cyclists are prohibited from:

-carrying passengers, except for the carriage of children under the age of seven on a bicycle equipped with a helmet and a specially designed seat that secures the child's legs;
-turning left or making a U-turn on a road with a tram track, or on a road with more than one lane for traffic in the same direction.
