On March 21, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. In 2012, three flax processing plants in the Vitebsk region will undergo modernization, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the open joint-stock company "Vitebskobllion".
The technical re-equipment will affect the Orekhovsky (Orsha district), Postavsky, and Dubrovensky flax processing plants. Each of them is planned to be equipped with high-performance technological lines for flax fiber processing. Tenders for equipment supply have been announced, and it is expected to arrive at the enterprises next spring. The main reconstruction work on production buildings will be carried out in 2012. The facilities at the Dubrovensky flax processing plant are planned to be commissioned this year, while those at the Postavsky and Orekhovsky plants are scheduled for completion by the end of 2013.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of February 3, 2012, No. 113 "On the Development of Flax Industry Organizations", Br12.5 billion is planned to be allocated for the modernization of production at the Dubrovensky flax processing plant through loans, Br20 billion for the Postavsky plant, and Br72.5 billion for the Orekhovsky plant. The significant volume of investment for the latter enterprise is due to the plant's plan to acquire two technological lines (for the production of long and short flax fiber), as well as the scale of construction work: the boiler house, production workshops, and raw material warehouses are to be reconstructed.
The modernization of flax processing plants will lead to an improvement in flax fiber quality, more than double the productivity of primary flax processing equipment, reduce the costs of flax straw processing, and ensure stable profitable operation of flax processing organizations.
