The active acceptance of health resorts has begun in the Vitebsk region, the head of the representative office "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population" Elena Andreykova told a BELTA correspondent.
"The preparation of the camps for the summer period was carried out within the established deadlines, without failures. In the next two weeks, their active acceptance will be carried out," said Elena Andreykova, noting that due to weather conditions, the schedule for the start of health improvement for children in the Vitebsk region was slightly shifted in order to cover most of August.
At the beginning of June, it is planned to open 806 day camps, which will host over 30,000 children and adolescents during the summer. Mass arrivals of schoolchildren to 35 stationary camps with round-the-clock stay are planned for June 16-18. At the same time, one of the first among them, the "Druzhba" camp in the Shumilinsky district, opened on May 31. In the first shift, 130 children will improve their health here. In total, during the summer, stationary camps will accommodate 21.1 thousand students.
The summer health improvement season for schoolchildren in the region will fully open on June 20. For the preparation of camps in the Vitebsk region, Br636 million was allocated from the state social insurance funds, and Br1.1 billion from the regional budget. About Br2.5 billion was allocated by owners and Br300 million by district executive committees. In addition, from the funds earned by the region's residents at the republican subbotnik, Br800 million was used to prepare the "Lenok", "Chaika", "Luch", "Lugovtsy", "Lesnaya Skazka" camps, and Br2.2 billion for the improvement of the "Vityaz" camp.-0-
