February 7, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. 868 territorial election commissions have been formed in the Vitebsk region, BELTA was informed by the Vitebsk Regional Election Commission.

A total of 10,568 people have been included in the territorial commissions. 4,313 citizens (40.8%) are represented by public associations, and 77 (0.7%) by political parties. There are 49 representatives from the Communist Party of Belarus, 16 from the Republican Party of Labour and Justice, 7 from the Belarusian Left Party "A Just World", 3 from the United Civic Party, and 2 from the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada).

2,127 people (20.1%) are represented by work collectives. 4,051 people (38.3%) are represented by citizens through applications.

Trade union organisations (1,691 representatives, or 16%), PRR "Belaya Rus" (615, or 5.8%), BRSM (530, or 5%), as well as the Belarusian Women's Union (367, or 3.5%) showed the most active participation in the nomination of citizens.

There are 7,258 women (68.7%) in the territorial election commissions in the Vitebsk region. The number of civil servants in the commissions is 342, young people under 30 years of age - 1,021 (9.7%), there are no citizens of Russia.

In the elections on March 23, voters in the Vitebsk region will have to determine the holders of 3,218 deputy mandates and form the regional, 21 district, 5 city councils in cities of regional and district subordination, and 197 rural and settlement councils. -0-
