The Vitebsk region has set the dates for lingonberry and cranberry harvesting. The corresponding decision, signed by the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, has been published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has determined the collection and harvesting (procurement) periods for two types of wild berries. The lingonberry harvesting season in the region will start on August 16, and the cranberry season on September 13. The decision comes into force after its official publication.
By the way, wild berries must be collected using gentle methods that do not harm the berry bushes or cause their destruction. A fine is imposed for violating the rules of collection, harvesting, or procurement of berries.
