According to specialists, the gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops this year is estimated to be 900 thousand tons. This was discussed at a meeting of the regional executive committee dedicated to the organization of the harvest and sowing of winter crops.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, Anatoliy Linevich, who is the President's authorized representative for the Vitebsk region, took part in the discussion of this topical issue.
Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the regional executive committee, Aleksandr Subbotin, stated: the complexity of this period lies in the fact that the crops ripen almost simultaneously, while fodder procurement and soil preparation for winter sowing are carried out in parallel. Therefore, the management system must be optimized for maximum efficiency, and all work must be carried out with high quality and technological precision.
