20 July, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. In the Vitebsk region, 25 people have drowned since the beginning of July, the Vitebsk regional organization of the OSOVOD informed a BELTA correspondent. Accidents without fatalities among minors were recorded in Polotsk, Miory, Liozno, Tolochin, Sharkovshchina districts, Vitebsk and Novopolotsk. Most of them are related to swimming in unauthorized places and alcohol consumption. In order to prevent similar tragedies, OSOVOD employees urge to exercise caution when resting near reservoirs and not to consume alcohol. Parents should be particularly vigilant and under no circumstances leave their children unattended, even for a short time. -0-
