Belarusian agricultural producers have completed the potato harvest. In the public sector, potatoes have been harvested from 26 thousand hectares, which is 100 percent of the cultivated area.

790 thousand tonnes of tubers have been dug. Last year, the figure was 652 thousand tonnes. This year's gross yield is higher due to an increase in cultivated areas and improved productivity. While in 2021, each hectare yielded 271 centners of tubers per hectare, this year it is 302 centners. The highest yield is in the Vitebsk region – 378 centners per hectare. In the Grodno region, it is 322, in the Minsk region – 318, in the Mogilev region – 310, in the Brest region – 298, and in the Gomel region – 210.

It should be noted that traditionally, the lion's share of potatoes is produced in private households. In 2021, around 4 million tonnes of tubers were dug there. This year's figure will be no less.
