"Party School" Launched in Vitebsk Region

Professional development courses have commenced today at PSU named after P. Masherov within the framework of the "Party School" project. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their management skills, including effective communication in ideological and educational activities, and prepare for the 2025 electoral campaign. These and other important aspects will be covered during the training.

The event is organised by the regional branch of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" in conjunction with the university's Institute for Professional Development.

According to Dmitry Demidov, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies and Chairman of the regional organisation of the RPOO "Belaya Rus", the "Party School" will serve as a platform for learning, networking, and discussing current issues of political development in contemporary conditions. He noted that in light of current global political events, the initiative aims to prepare activists for the upcoming 2025 election campaign, which will include the election of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

– It is crucial to bring together activists from public associations and the party to discuss the formation of our country's political system. This will enable engaged citizens, interested in the constructive development of Belarus, to unite their efforts in creating a strong and independent state, — he emphasised.

The head of the region's parliamentary corps also noted that the "Party School" will address the current challenges facing the country and its political system. The sessions will be conducted by experts with the necessary knowledge, as well as activists whose ideas and opinions are of great importance for shaping the political discourse.

– Only through the exchange of views can we find suitable methods for political development that align with our situation and the needs of society, — added Dmitry Demidov.

The Chairman of the Council of Deputies also recalled the recent amendments to the Constitution and the establishment of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, which represent significant steps in the evolution of the country's political system.

– We must communicate these changes to the active segment of civil society and collectively determine the structure of the political system we wish to build, based on the will of the people and the principles of justice, — concluded Dmitry Demidov.

Valentina Bogatyreva, Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Branch of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" and Rector of VSU named after P. Masherov, noted that this initiative – the "Party School" – is aimed at developing socio-political awareness and forming the qualities of a party activist.

In a conversation with journalists, Valentina Bogatyreva said that the curriculum includes the study of socio-political awareness, analysis of civilizational fault lines and geopolitical processes affecting Belarus. Important attention will be paid to preserving historical memory and national identity.

As part of the "Party School," lectures and seminars are planned with the participation of well-known experts, including members of the Supreme Political Council, scholars in economics, philosophy, and journalism. Classes will be held every Friday, and more than 40 participants have already registered.

Incidentally, upon completion of the course, participants will receive state-recognized certificates of retraining from VSU.
