Preparations have commenced for the regional competition to award the honorary title "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region-2022", the procedure for which is determined by a decision of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
Key criteria for awarding the honorary title include the significance, relevance, and effectiveness of the results achieved, production indicators, as well as the professional and business qualities of the candidates. Furthermore, when selecting nominees, information regarding administrative penalties and the absence or presence of a criminal record is taken into account.
Candidates for the award are identified based on their performance throughout the year. Nomination documents are accepted at city and district executive committees on a territorial basis. Subsequently, participants will undergo a competitive selection process, resulting in the identification of 50 winners. They will be awarded the honorary title with a special diploma and a monetary reward.
The professional achievements of the best representatives of work collectives, organisations, and institutions from all regions of the oblast will be recognised in 5 nominations: "Industry, Trade and Services, Financial Activities, Small and Medium-sized Businesses", "Agro-industrial Complex, Environmental Protection, Forestry", "Housing and Communal Services and Road Management, Construction and Architecture, Fuel and Energy Complex, Communications, Transport and Logistics", "Social Sphere (Social Protection of the Population, Culture, Education, Science, Sports, Healthcare, Youth)", and "Ensuring Legality and Law and Order, Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies, Activities of Local Government and Self-Government Bodies, Public Organisations".
Incidentally, the competition is held annually with the aim of stimulating creative work and promoting innovative ideas and best practices. It is designed to highlight the value of the merits and achievements of the region's residents and their contribution to the overall development of the region.
The names of the region's best representatives will be announced in February 2023. Traditionally, billboards featuring their photographs will adorn the settlements of the Vitebsk region throughout the year.
