At the same time, the mowing of perennial grasses of the first cut has been fully completed in Gluboksky, Verkhnedvinsky, Tolochinsky, Chashniksky, and Sharkovshchinsky districts. Vitebsky (82%), Miorsky, and Braslavsky (79% each) districts are lagging behind in this work. In total, farmers are to mow 250 thousand hectares of perennial grasses, and it is planned to prepare 760 thousand tons of feed units. An important area of work at present is also the preparation of agricultural machinery for harvesting. The repair of drying facilities and grain harvesting machinery is being carried out at an active pace, and it is planned to complete them by July 10, specialists said, noting that the overall condition of the machinery fleet is assessed as satisfactory. Workers from industrial enterprises of the region will assist villagers in preparing machinery. In addition, 14 new grain drying complexes are under construction in the region, nine of which (in Dubrovensky, Verkhnedvinsky, Tolochinsky, and Chashniksky districts) are planned to be commissioned by August 1.
