The traffic police reminds that the most dangerous times on the highway are evening, night, and morning.
Remember:
Children under 12 years of age must be secured in the car using child restraint systems. Other road users must wear seat belts.
If a traffic accident involving a wild animal occurs, do not load its carcass into the trunk. The driver must turn on the hazard lights, set up the emergency stop sign, and report the incident by calling 102. The same applies if an animal was hit but ran off into the forest.
If the driver leaves the scene of a traffic accident, they are committing an offense under Part 2 of Article 18.16 of the Code of Administrative Offences of Belarus. The penalty is deprivation of driving rights for up to 2 years or a fine of up to 20 base units.
If you see a sign indicating a forest or plantations along the road, reduce your speed. After all, for a wild animal, any road is always the main one!
