In the Vitebsk region, 901 large families have received state-supported housing since the beginning of the year. This was reported by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev.
The head of the parliamentary body of the northern region stated that 211 thousand sq.m of housing have been built in the Vitebsk region since the beginning of the year. "We are ahead of last year's pace. Approximately 90 thousand sq.m have been constructed with state support – 901 large families have received well-appointed apartments. Currently, there are 3378 families on the waiting list in the region. I believe we will complete the program in the coming years, and these families will receive housing," said Vladimir Terentyev.
Today, in Shumilino, at 5 Ugnevenka Lane, keys were handed over to residents of a 40-apartment building. Among them are 30 large families, and 104 children will live in the building. Among them is the Kocheryagin family. Mother Anna shared that they have four children – a girl and three boys. Before receiving the apartment, they lived in a village. "The house has all the necessary conditions for a comfortable life, and it will be convenient for the children to get to the kindergarten and school in Shumilino. The apartment is renovated, so we can move in and live already," shared Anna Kocheryagina.
The building was constructed by Shumilino PMK-70 in seven months. In the near future, another 5-story building will be laid in the same district. It is expected to welcome new residents next year. Currently, 91 families are on the waiting list for housing improvement in the Shumilino district.
