This was announced today at a meeting of the regional executive committee by Vladimir Novatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. Svyatoslav Zarovsky, Chairman of the Economics Committee of the Regional Executive Committee, spoke about the main results of the region's socio-economic development. He noted that as of the end of the 9-month period, most of the established indicators in the region are being met and dynamically increasing. Among all regions of the republic, the Vitebsk region ranks first in gross regional product, the share of costs for acquiring machinery, equipment, and vehicles in the total volume of investment in fixed assets, exports of goods throughout the territory, exports of goods and the balance, excluding oil and oil products, and republican organizations. The region also ensures a leading growth rate of labor productivity compared to the growth rate of real wages. At the same time, the targets for the share of innovative products shipped in the total volume of industrial products shipped, industrial sales profitability, export of services, net direct foreign investment, etc., have not been met. Vladimir Novatsky gave a good assessment of the work on fulfilling the established targets for the region as a whole, but criticized the results of activities in individual districts. In particular, out of 19 indicators for January-September, Sennensky district failed to meet 16, Chashniksky and Sharkovshchinsky districts - 15 each, Gluboksky, Rossonsky, Tolochinsky, and Ushachsky districts - 14 each. A significant number of targets are also not being met by Polotsky, Beshenkovichsky, Dubrovensky, Lioznensky, Lepelsky, Miorsky, Vitebsky, Orshansky, Postavsky, Shumilinsky, Gorodoksky, Braslavsky, Dokshitsky districts, Vitebsk, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, and Orsha. "First of all, this indicates the need to urgently review the work in a number of areas, conduct a detailed analysis, and develop concrete actions to achieve all established socio-economic development indicators," emphasized Vladimir Novatsky. "All approved targets for indicators were adopted consciously, and it is necessary to take real measures to fulfill them," added the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee.
