4 January, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Over 200 violations of the procedure for renting out premises were identified by tax inspectors in the Vitebsk region in 2011, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent.
During control measures carried out to detect hidden income from renting out premises, tax authorities identified 234 violations. Based on the results of inspections, Br47.8 million was additionally accrued for payment. The accrued payments were received by the budget.
As of early December 2011, 9,895 citizens were registered with the tax authorities in the Vitebsk region inspectorates as taxpayers receiving income from renting out non-residential and residential premises and paying income tax in fixed amounts. Compared to December of the previous year, the number of such citizens increased by more than 1.7 thousand people. For 11 months of 2011, taxpayers in this category paid Br1571.1 million in income tax to the budget. The volume of budget payments from individuals renting out premises, in comparable terms with the same period last year, decreased to 73.2%.
In accordance with the legislation, when renting out residential premises, it is necessary to conclude a lease agreement in writing, register the agreement with the local executive body or the organization operating the housing stock, and also pay income tax in a fixed amount, the tax inspectorate reminded.
