A laboratory for electrical measurements has been opened at the Vitebsk State College of Electronics. Approximately 50 units of the latest equipment have been purchased for it, including electrical measuring and other instruments, as well as 12 modern computers.
– The opening of such a laboratory is another step to further inspire students with their chosen profession, – said Dmitry Leonidovich. – Given the shortage of technical specialists, it is very important to have modern equipment. Moreover, this laboratory implements the task of advanced training: thermal imagers and other cutting-edge devices that are just being introduced at industrial enterprises are presented here.
According to the college teachers, the presence of such a laboratory follows the trend of modern education – practice-orientation.
And students note that learning with new equipment is easier and more interesting. If it used to take several minutes to measure parameters and elements of the electrical network using the old mechanical devices, now it is done instantly.
– I managed to work with a multichannel digital oscilloscope, – says second-year student Alexey Fokov. – With the help of the new device, it is possible to measure any electrical signal parameter almost instantly with one click. It is very convenient – everything is automated. Another advantage is that mechanical errors are also minimized in the digital oscilloscope. It provides a more accurate result of electrical signal parameters.
