At the Flag and Emblem Square in Vitebsk, vouchers for a working summer were presented to student workforces of the Vitebsk region.

– Every year, the demand for summer work among young people is growing. Active, energetic individuals are eager to create something with their own hands, contribute to the state, and help people. It is also important that they learn to earn through their labour, – noted Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Head of the Regional Operational Headquarters of Student Workforces. – This year, about 220 organisations are ready to employ members of student workforces, where they will gain experience, learn labour discipline, and, one might say, enter adult life.

Vyacheslav Durnov presented vouchers for a working summer to the territorial headquarters of the region and distinguished student workforces, wishing the participants not only to spend their time productively but also to find true friends and allies in their professional endeavours.

Members of the pedagogical workforce "Phoenix" named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Azonchik will be working on the Black Sea coast this summer at the All-Russian Children's Centre "Orlyonok" in the Krasnodar Krai.

– We have been eagerly awaiting the start of the working summer. It is not only an opportunity to earn money but also a chance to contribute to the development of our country, – shared Yana Moroz, the detachment's commissioner. – Our students work not only within Belarus but also abroad. For instance, at "Orlyonok," we work as educators and counsellors, nurturing the younger generation. We are pleased that young people from Vitebsk are always highly anticipated there, with people asking: "Has 'Phoenix' arrived yet?"

The student construction workforce "Zodchiye" from Novopolotsk has experience in international construction projects such as "Sever" in Yakutia and "Kuzbass." This year, the members will be heading to the All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project in Minsk, where they are involved in the construction of the National Historical Museum and the Park of People's Unity.

– Our construction workforce bears the name of the pioneer builder of Novopolotsk and leader of the Komsomol movement, Pyotr Ivanovich Blokhin. Last year, we earned the banner of the best student workforce in the country. This year, our goal is to confirm that we are the best in our work, – noted Daria Tsygulko, the detachment's commissioner. – Our team consists of ten ambitious individuals. For us, the working semester is also about new acquaintances, cultural, and patriotic campaigns and events.

According to Zhanna Naritsyna, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM, this summer it is planned to employ about 7.5 thousand young men and women in pedagogical, construction, agricultural, service, production, medical, and environmental student teams.

We are making every effort to ensure that everyone is employed in student teams, – emphasised Zhanna Naritsyna. – The team members will work in all areas, especially in the Year of Improvement. Already today, participants of the opening of the regional labour semester will join a labour initiative and improve Vitebsk – this will include playgrounds and the Park of the 30th Anniversary of the Komsomol, where over 700 saplings and flowers will be planted.

The youth leader of the Vitebsk region also announced that August 1st will be the Day of Belarusian Student Teams, where young people who have already worked on the "celina" (seasonal work) will share their experiences with those who are yet to go to work in agricultural teams in the autumn.

A special location for the "Labour Summer – 2025" will be the regional youth construction project at the Novopolotsk Regional Complex for Municipal Solid Waste Management. A total of 60 students will work at the facility over the summer, with the first student team members starting their work in June.
