"A distinctive feature of the exercise was that the issues of the country's defence were worked out relying on the state's own military organisation. The event allowed for an improvement in the coordination of military command bodies. Commanders, chiefs of staff, and staffs gained valuable practical experience. The exercise revealed a high level of training among the formations, military units, and detachments participating in it. All set objectives were achieved, and tasks were completed at a high qualitative level," the military department noted.
Military attachés from 15 countries observed the active phase of the exercise and highly commended the actions of the Belarusian Armed Forces troops.
Up to 7.5 thousand military personnel, 260 units of armoured vehicles, and approximately 30 aircraft and helicopters took part in the command and staff exercise, which took place in the Armed Forces from 6 to 12 September. Six training grounds, as well as areas and tracts of land in the Brest, Grodno, Minsk, and Mogilev regions, were involved in carrying out the training combat tasks.
