As part of the second stage of the republican campaign "Focus on Children!", rescuers from the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted interactive and very important safety lessons with first-graders from educational institutions "Secondary School No. 1 and No. 3 of the city of Lepel", as well as Starolyadnya Basic School of the Lepel District.
EMERCOM employees told the schoolchildren how to behave safely at home, on the street, and at school, why they should not use matches and lighters on their own, or start bonfires. They also reminded them not only of the emergency service phone numbers but also of how to correctly call rescuers for assistance if necessary. During the conversation, the boys and girls reviewed the action plan in case of a fire and now know for sure that they should not panic or hide.
To consolidate the acquired knowledge, the children took part in a safety quiz with great interest.
At the end of the event, the children received visual educational materials as gifts, which will remind them about safety, and also reinforced all the acquired knowledge by watching the engaging cartoons "The Magic Book".
