26 February, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Open Joint Stock Company "Verkhnedvinsk Dairy and Cheese Plant" will build its own car wash in 2014, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent.

Currently, the project, with a cost of about Br4 billion, is at the stage of design and estimate documentation, which the enterprise intends to obtain by April, and to start construction in the second half of the year. In accordance with the plan, a block measuring 21 m by 9 m and 6 m high will be erected on the territory of the dairy and cheese plant using modular structures. Inside, utility and auxiliary rooms, and a work area equipped with modern technological equipment for washing vehicles will be arranged. The project is planned to be completed in the third quarter of the current year.

"At the moment, for washing vehicles, the enterprise uses its own old-style wash, which does not meet modern standards, as well as the services of a neighboring organization, which is costly and inconvenient for us. The implementation of this project will allow us to save the resources spent on these purposes and direct them to the development of production. It is expected that the project will pay for itself within three years," specialists noted.

In January 2014, the enterprise produced products worth Br35 billion, which is 40% more than the same level last year. The sales profitability for 2013 was 13.3%. Products worth $23.5 million were supplied for export to Russia and Kazakhstan, with a growth rate of 114.4% compared to 2012.

The enterprise was founded in 1932. It specialises in the production of natural dairy products: rennet cheeses, cow's butter, and demineralised dry whey, with an annual production capacity of 5 thousand tons, 1,050 tons, and 3.2 thousand tons, respectively. The products are sold under the trade marks "Yan Syrodel" and Prince "Algird". The plant has implemented and operates a quality management system based on the principles of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) for ensuring food safety. Also, OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Dairy and Cheese Plant" was the first in Belarus to receive LST EN ISO 22000:2005 and LST EN ISO 9001:2005 certificates, which opened up opportunities for the company to export its products to any European country. -0-
