Our lives would not be complete without the ability to enjoy birdsong and beautiful music, to inhale the scents of flowers, the first spring leaves, and the coniferous forest.
Our lives would not be complete without the ability to enjoy birdsong and beautiful music, to inhale the scents of flowers, the first spring leaves, and the coniferous forest. Without contemplating the beauty of the surrounding world, works of art, and deriving pleasure from eating favourite dishes. And how much joy and happiness, a sense of love and care, ordinary hugs bring to children and adults!
It is thanks to our senses that our life is bright, diverse, and emotional.
As part of World Health Day, the Domzheritsy rural library hosted an informational and educational lesson "We See, Hear, Feel: Human Senses," to which students of the 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades of the Domzheritsy school, accompanied by their class teachers, were invited.
During the event, the children learned a lot of new things about the human body. Using experiments (with eyes closed, by touch, by sounds, etc.), they checked how well their five senses were developed: smell, touch, sight, hearing, and taste. They checked the function of each organ separately, after which they concluded that for the most complete and comprehensive information about the surrounding world, their combined work is necessary, because if any organ malfunctions, a person becomes vulnerable and sometimes exposed to great danger.
They also discussed the rules that everyone should follow to keep our senses healthy.
With great pleasure, the children performed eye exercises, the scheme of which they received from the librarian, and had a physical activity break.
At the end of the event, the children learned how people deprived of sight read using the tactile relief dot Braille font, and tried to read proverbs written in this font themselves.
