It is estimated that 205 thousand tons of organic fertilizers need to be applied to the fields of the district for the 2013 harvest.

Tens of tons of organic matter are transported from farms to heaps and manure storage facilities every day. It is estimated that 205 thousand tons of organic fertilizers need to be applied to the fields of the district for the 2013 harvest.
More than 50 thousand tons have already been transported and applied to winter plough crops: rapeseed, rye, wheat, and triticale.
Up to half a thousand tons of organic fertilizers are prepared and transported to manure storage facilities and heaps daily from farms.
Employees of agricultural organizations are assisted by patrons in the preparation and transportation of organic matter. Workers from the land reclamation systems enterprise, flax factory, forestry enterprise, DRBU-202, DBU-34, DEU-37, communal enterprises "Lepel", "Borovka" and others are working diligently near the farms. More than 75 thousand tons of organic matter have been prepared, and more than 73 thousand tons have been transported.
Organic fertilizers alone are not enough to reliably guarantee future harvests. Plants require mineral fertilizers for optimal development. The district's farms need 6900 tons of fertilizers for spring sowing, including 2800 tons of potash, 1400 tons of phosphate, and 2700 tons of nitrogen fertilizers. The largest amount of nitrogen fertilizers accumulated is 27 percent of the needs, with one percent less potassium delivered. However, only one percent of the planned phosphate fertilizers have been purchased – 20.9 tons. But this circumstance is not a cause for concern, as phosphate fertilizers are applied directly before sowing and during growth, so there is still time to purchase them; warehouse space, transport capacity, and funds are reserved for this purpose.
The variety testing station is best supplied with all types of mineral fertilizers. Among the large agricultural producers, OJSC "Chareyshchina" purchased the most nitrogen fertilizers – 35% of the required amount, or 85.1 tons, SGP "Prazhektor" – 92.5 tons, or 34 percent of the needs, SVF "Zaozer'e" – 17% of the required volume of nitrogen fertilizers, or 72.6 tons. OJSC "Ladasna" has the most potash fertilizers – 37% of the planned amount. OJSC "Ladna" ranks second with a figure of 30%. The least, 16%, has been delivered to the warehouses of SGP "Prazhektor".
