Residents of Vitebsk will be able to take a dog home during the charity fair "Looking for a Friend-2" in support of the Vitebsk shelter for homeless animals, the organisers told BELTA.

The fair will be held on October 13 from 11:00 to 14:00 on the territory of the cultural and historical complex "Golden Ring of Vitebsk "Dvina". A similar event was held in April 2017. At that time, 12 animals found owners and homes, and money, food, and items necessary for the shelter were collected.

"The programme of the current event includes an exhibition of dogs and cats from the shelter, where guests can not only meet the pets but also choose a friend they like. There will also be a festive concert, souvenirs and handmade items will be available for purchase, and various games, contests, and master classes will be organised. All profits from the fair will go to the needs of the shelter," the organisers noted.

In addition, a photo exhibition of pets that could not attend the event will be held, as well as collection points for items and food for the shelter. All those who are not indifferent and take an animal home will receive gifts in the form of care products for their new friend.

The initiators and organisers of the event were the UNESCO Club "Pride" of Secondary School No. 21 of Vitebsk, students of Gymnasium No. 3, and the shelter for homeless animals, with the support of a veterinary pharmaceuticals company.
