On October 18, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. A resident of Vitebsk received an administrative fine with confiscation of goods and a car worth Br64 million for illegal street trading. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region.
The penalty in the form of confiscation of the vehicle used for illegal activities has been applied by the court for the first time in the region this year.
During control measures, tax authorities detected a case of illegal street trading, with the offender using a "Volkswagen Transporter" car for the delivery and storage of goods. Following the inspection, goods worth over Br12 million were seized, and the vehicle was arrested. By court decision, the woman was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of Br0.7 million with confiscation of goods and the car used for illegal activities. Incidentally, the offender was not the owner of the car; the owner of the car (now former) resides in Vitebsk district. The Vitebsk resident herself has repeatedly come to the attention of tax authorities; since 2009, the woman has been brought to administrative responsibility more than 30 times for unregistered entrepreneurial activity.
In total, from January to September, tax inspectorates identified over 1.1 thousand cases of unregistered entrepreneurial activity without state registration as an individual entrepreneur, including 350 cases of illegal street trading. Goods, illegally obtained income, and means of committing offenses totaling over Br1 billion were seized from the shadow turnover. Almost 400 offenders were brought to administrative responsibility, with the total amount of fines amounting to about Br100 million. -0-
