11 November, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. A Vitebsk resident has been detained with a large consignment of heroin, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department informed a BELTA correspondent. A local resident born in 1970 was apprehended by law enforcement officers with heroin that had been brought from the Smolensk region. The seized consignment, weighing 2.4 g, was intended for distribution among the Vitebsk resident's circle of acquaintances. A criminal case has been initiated against the woman under Article 328 of the Criminal Code of Belarus "Illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors". An investigation is underway.-0-
