Vitebsk, 3 February /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The Vitebsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital plans to open a rehabilitation and health improvement centre for its patients, the chief physician of the healthcare institution, Alexander Pitkevich, told a BELTA correspondent.
Work on the implementation of this project is already underway. Thus, the building of the former children's social institution in the village of Chernytsy, Liozno district, has been transferred to the hospital's balance sheet. The facility is a two-storey educational building with an assembly hall and a sports hall, with a dormitory block attached to it (which is planned to be converted into a treatment facility). A canteen block and a sports complex are located separately on the territory.
"The work on creating the rehabilitation and health improvement centre is at the initial stage: we are determining the specifics of its operation, deciding which children with which pathologies will be sent here for rehabilitation, as, depending on this, it is necessary to consider its medical equipment," noted Alexander Pitkevich. Only after a detailed review of these and other issues will it be possible to talk about the required funding and the opening date of this facility, he added.-0-
