On September 27, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic will open its new concert season on the International Music Day with a presentation of its creative capabilities, the artistic director of the philharmonic, Nelly Matsaberidze, told a BELTA correspondent.
On the evening of October 1, classical music fans will be able to get acquainted with all the creative groups and performers of the philharmonic. Thus, the chamber orchestra will greet visitors in the lobby, and on the second floor, they will be able to enjoy the performances of the "Rositsa" ensemble and the philharmonic vocalists. The honor of opening this season is given to the renowned balalaika octet "Vitebsk Virtuosos" under the direction of Honored Artist of Belarus Tamara Shafranova. Its distinctive feature is a truly orchestral sound, which is achieved through expertly crafted orchestrations by Tamara Shafranova and complex parts for all instruments. "To give our audience maximum pleasure, this concert will be vocal and instrumental," noted Nelly Matsaberidze.
Under the unique performance of "Vitebsk Virtuosos," soloist of the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus, Belarusian State Academic Musical Theatre, laureate of international competitions Andrey Morozov (baritone) and soloist of the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic Oksana Novikova (soprano) will perform, who will present ancient Russian romances, folk songs, and Neapolitan compositions.
Touching upon the plans for the new season, Nelly Matsaberidze noted that the practice of holding subscription concerts will continue. Thus, young audiences will once again meet the "FaSolka Invites" project, and expectant mothers will be invited to the "Weaving a Soul from Notes" concerts. A cycle of organ music concerts will also be held.
"The Philharmonic remains true to its concept: to popularize classical music. This is clearly evident in any concert of the current season. At the same time, we have tried to make each of them as interesting as possible for our audience," concluded Nelly Matsaberidze. -0-
