The machine-building company "Vitebskiye Podemniki" has created an innovative product – a crane-manipulator unit based on a tractor – as part of a joint project with MTZ, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the enterprise director Andrey Sidorov.
This is an entirely domestic development based on the "Belarus-92P" tractor. The crane-manipulator unit includes 4 pieces of equipment: a snow and debris removal blade (plough), a lift with a basket, a crane jib, and a drilling rig.
"We have already taken one such unit to exhibitions and tested it in-house – we used it for equipment installation during the construction of a new workshop. We liked it very much, we were even reluctant to part with it when a buyer appeared. This machine is now in Volgograd. And we have received two orders for serial production – from Mogilev and Volgograd. The first batch is practically ready for shipment," explained Sergey Smirnov, Deputy Director for Production.
The first buyers will be the enterprises "Mogilevenergo" – 9 machines and "Volgogradenergo" – 11 units. For their field of activity, such units with high cross-country capability and wide functionality are a godsend: they can install poles, service contact lines, clear snow in front of them, and perform operations on transformers. "I think we will promote this project with MTZ to other countries as well," added Andrey Sidorov.
The machine-building company "Vitebskiye Podemniki" (VIPO) traces its history back to 2004. It has mastered practically the entire range of lifting machines, producing over 50 different models, most of which are patented (unique in-house developments). Annually, the enterprise develops and simultaneously implements 3-5 models of special equipment into production. The products are almost 100% exported, mainly to Russia. However, the markets where Vitebsk lifts are in demand are expanding. The geography of supplies also includes Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Mongolia, and Ukraine.
