"According to expert estimates, based on the acreage and the condition of the fields, the gross grain yield is expected to be 20-25% higher than last year," said the committee chairman. "We will commence the mass harvesting of grain crops on August 5-7."
In total, the region's agricultural workers will need to thresh over 343,000 hectares of grain fields. Preparations for machinery and drying equipment have been intensified across the region, and enterprises are engaging additional labour resources.
The executive committee has set the task to concentrate all efforts, complete the harvest within the shortest possible timeframe, with minimal crop losses, while strictly adhering to safety regulations and discipline.
